Pay doesn't matter. Quality of life does! I was up till 4 am and then I was up again to get in to a call at 7:45 where everyone abused everyone else.
After 1 hours of abusing, I opened my mouth and said, ok how do we fix these issues!

So my posts would be very minimal as we are neck deep in issues!
Nothing to worry. We are following typical Indian SDLC!

And coming to Bhuleshwar, remember how Oppiliappan became uppiliappan. This O to U seems to have smitten hindi as well. Bholeshwar has become Bhuleshwar!
Go ahead and post it in my Magnificent Maharashtra log. I'm pretty sure that AP will respond immediately.

When you meant power scene were you speaking of the political power scene leading to fisticuffs?

OT, I actually meant the power supplying 'current' & 'voltage' as the scene here in Karnataka and Bangalore .

It has been really bad with unscheduled power cuts running amost 6 hours a day with the last one hour starting as late as 9-30pm!! It has improved since the past 3 days from what I am experiencing off late.

Of course, the power scene leading to fisticuffs, witnessed by many as a 'High voltage drama' has died down a little recently and I blame it completely on the walkathon by various contestants of the fisticuff arena and the resting schedule they must be in right now!!

Well said!

At least you could hook up with the guys on phone. We are still waiting for the tech guys to turn up. Yesterday night's effort lasting for six hours (7.30PM to 1.30AM) has not even yielded 10% of the results promised

Thanks. Already took your permission for granted!

Bholeshwar / Bhuleshwar - find time to see my posts; and, waiting for AP to respond...

For a change, it seems the hands and mouth are given a rest, and the legs are doing the talking

Prabhu mam,

this picture appears to be from a temple in Ankola, Nagwe Samsthan -Laxminarayan Mahamaya Temple. I may be wrong, most of the former goan origin saraswat temples look identical.

but my gut feel tells me i am not wrong,

No need to say anything, right?

Note - my earlier trip were lost due to my sheer carelessness. So, in the next trip I caught most of the ones I lost. This, hopefully, will perk up this trip sheet..

Dandeli-Haliyal-Yellapur is another classic. There is also a route from Kaiga to Yellapur, which is a beauty. But now closed.

It's closed now? I remember seeing the route open in April, if I'm not wrong.

Perfect!

Now who was the one who wanted pictures of these? Let me hope he is still browsing this thread...

In fact, I was told to take the same route (forest road) by my colleague who leaves near Dharwad. Seeing me go up and down, he has suggested this an alternative road, but warned that it was not in good condition...

Today's picture is slightly tougher to crack, I hope

Only tip is that Canon A450 doesn't reproduce the red colour vividly! MX6, you are perfectly right about the green - red and green colour combination is too much for me to handle on picture correction :-(

Speaking of Ullal, the beach there would be the roughest I've ever seen in that stretch.
Once (in 1995) we walked around those bylanes of Ullal and I saw a pet in one of the houses. I quietly went to Udayavani office and put in a word about the same, requesting anonymity.
Chained to the gate of the house was a pet Leopard.

That's Nethravathi river. You seem to have taken the train though.

Bang on target, both of you!

Remember - my return from Calicut to Pune via Mangalore was by train and bus.

The last one - easy!

Stress buster!!-img_2625.jpg

Before you guys start, this was taken from the car. It was raining cats and dogs... was soaked to the bone within a minute of venturing here...
