Hi Guys,

Planning to upgrade to 16" on my Swift. What would be the right offset for the same? I am presently running on OZ 15" X 6.5 with offset ET 43. Will a 16" rim with 205/50/R16 fit in the spare wheel well?

Thanks for the comments guys. I myself am waiting for more pics. I think they are in the post processing stage with Rudra.

OT: @Epic - 205/50-R16 will be a very tight fit in the wheel well. My 205/55-R15's themsleves fit with a lot of difficulty. More over pushing them in is relatively easier when compared to pulling them out. You can discuss this further in the Swift tyre upgrade thread.

The lighting was far from perfect. It was extremely sunny according to Rudra. It is the post processing that has made the image what it is.

I would recommend 195/55/16 or 205/55/16 on a swift, i am not too sure about the offset in 16 " . Swift original size 14 " and offset should be 38

No, Hydrashok is already running the same size on his Swift without any problems. I drove the car on my last trip with 3 people on board including our 'healthy' A S H V I N and there was no fouling on poor Cochin roads & the ride too was pretty acceptable!

I don't think there are any tyres officially available in 195/55 R16 & I'm pretty sure 205/55 will touch the wheel wells. Also, offset should remain the same, no matter whether the rim is 14" or 16".

205/55/16 i dont think should touch and Yokohama AR01 pattern is good . It is a Economy & Sport tyre , better handling . Should cost you somewhere around 5050

But i am using 15" X 6.5 with offset 43 shod with 195/60/R15 tyres. No issues at all so far. It is not 38 as it should be according to you and the 43 offset was recommended by the OZ Racing guys. This is getting more confusing by the day!

Epic - Like tyre widths, a small change in offset is also acceptable & works fine as long as it is within tolerance. If 43 is working fine for you in 15" it'll work fine for you in 16" also. So will 42.
