By the way, are you using a stock tyre for spare?

thanks mate!!!
yup I've got the stock spare..dint want to spend another 6.5grand on the spare...and with tubeless tires these days spare tire really isn't used that much..and then i've got a tubeless tire repair kit in my boot..can fix it myself and in fact did it 3weeks back..i guess i love being a mechanic myself!!!!

i think 15" should be fine. or even 16" but that would reduce the ride quality. 195/60 r15 is the right upsize for the swift i think.

I second Akshay, you could also look at 205/55 R15. I have these on my car and i can tell you the ride quality is not affected much nor do the tyres touch the insides. Just make sure you select your mags with the correct offset. The swift has a positive offset of 38. So select your mags with a offset with within permisible limits, the tolerence is plus or minus 5.

Cheers

@ anshurao
ya they do...initially i was apprehensive about the thing holding on as neither had i not removed the tire nor had i deflated it...a screw was visible on the top i pulled it out and pushed in the sealant thing...
its been more than a month and no air loss.. touchwood!!!

i don't remember what brand it is...got it with my alloys a complementary gift maybe when you spend 20+grands on something...it can help you if you get stranded alone in the middle of nowhere...get it!!

Hi white_vdi,

I agree with you regarding the utility of the tubeless puncture kit. Though I have not done the actual repairing part, my driver has done it thrice. Easy enough!

But in the middle of nowhere, you would also need a air pump to put back the air into the repaired tire.

In combination it would also mean that you could repair and continue your journey even without removing the tyre from the wheel.

Have rims, will travel.

So my Swift's arrived, and I've been having a LOT of fun driving her over the last 5 days or so. So much so that I've been feeling really guilty about ignoring my baby, the Ikon 1.6 with the killer Lenso rims and S-drives (a few posts down).

Anyway... back to the Swift... ICE, tints, rims and tyres got fitted a couple of days ago... Pioneer 5050 with iPod and USB Connectors (goodbye CDs!!!) imported 15" rims, Yokohama A-drives in 195/60 R15. The ride is a hell of a lot better with the Yokos.

Comments, as always, are welcome.

@hydrashok, thnx man...seems like finally someone likes em.
I've been getting a negative responce from all others, they prefer the white Lenso rims I had earlier.
