No Nick this isn't mine this is a Asian version, I ve posted My iDtec pics down below and they are vossen Replicas. I found this design to be pretty sober, deep dish , simple 5 spoke.

Changing OE alloys MAY cause issues with warranty - this can only be ruled out if you speak to the HASS and tell them what you intend to do.

Wider tyres don't cause issues with warranty AFAIK!

Using stock rims and tyres can prove to be a good jugaad method if you really take the plunge even if HASS clarifies no warranty on change of stock alloys.

I am more worried about the safety features working properly (ABS) from using aftermarket alloys. Have heard stories of ABS etc. not working do to this. Please make sure safety features are not hampered at any cost.

Finally, what's the cost of the wheels

The original tyre size is a typo Krish69. The city comes 175/65/15 rubber and so the 195/60/15 upsize is within limits.
Yes , Ankit the stock gyres were 175/65/15 thats correct, thanks for the correction.
As far as i know changing alloys should not hamper ABS in any way.
I consulted a few Honda dealerships in delhi and all of them agreed sticking to the original 15inch size even with after market alloys won't cause any warrant issues.
So got them changed and even sold off the stock for a really good price

Regarding warranty, unless you are claiming warranty related to suspension/ steering you should be OK (given that you are not upsizing from 15" to 16" or 17". A slightly wider tyre should definately not void any warranty specifically.
Other members more versed with Honda warranty claims can add.

However the upsize from 175/55 R15 to 195/60 R15 is not the best as the tyre circumference increases by over 7% (ideally it should be under 2-3%). An ideal size will be 195/50 (in increase of only 0.46%). You could expect a slight drop in FE and initial acceleration as well though offset by better handling and cornering at higher speeds.
Cheers
Thanks krish! There was a little error with the spec earlier the stock was 175/65/15 . Well i got them from karol bath !
With an awesome price tag of 21K

2009 Honda City iVTEC - Max Fitment

VEHILE: 2009 Honda City iVTEC AT

WHEELS: HRS (Hijoin) H500 7.5x17 ET45 (Hyper Silver; PCD 4x100+4x108; CB 72mm??? ; Spigot Rings to reduce CB to 56.1mm; 690Kg Load; Rs. 7,300 each from Sai Mag Wheels arranged thru BK Tyres, Lajpat Nagar)

TYRES: Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE002 235/45R17 94W (Treadwear 220; Traction A; Temperature A; Rs. 12,000 each from BK Tyres, available at Rs. 11,000 as well but in 97 load rating)

The intent was to get the absolute maximum size of wheel & tyre that could possibly fit without any operational issues keeping the sidewall height >=100mm to ensure safe operation even in poor road conditions.

The stock spec for the car is 175/65R15 82H on a 5.5x15 ET51 wheel.

Mounting, Nitrogen Filling, RoadForce Balancing & Fitment Positioning was done at Haryana Car Care, Faridabad @ Rs. 600 per tyre including weights (Rs. 450 per tyre was for RoadForce Balancing alone, which is steep but still worthwhile).

Tyre Turn-Out:
The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!-12-tyre-turnout.jpg

NOTES:
Admittedly, the 235/45R17 or 215/55R16 or 205/65R15 are all a bit too tight on fitment and have no tolerance for a bent fender, damaged liner, out of position bumper or even the dampers or suspension joints being in bad shape and will need fender rolling (for the 235/45) unless fitted with ET48 or possibly ET50 wheels.

All in all, I would sincerely recommend going for a 225/45R17 on 7.5x17 wheels or 205/55R16 on 7x16 wheels or 195/65R15 for those looking to keep the stock wheels.

Hey Varun,

Great looking alloys on the Civic! Can you share the details, model, pricing. I'm guessing they are 15" rims.

And we are eagerly waiting for some better quality pics!

Those are 16" MOMO's. REDS Drone to be specific. Cost me INR 8000 a piece. But I feel, could have negotiated for a better price. I actually went to change a damaged tyre (Bulged sidewall), but ended up changing the alloys.

Some decent snaps. My photos doesn't do any justice to the real beauty.

Now that's what you call a true BHPian

Definitely a very classy set of alloy wheels. If these would be available in matte black or grey, ahh I wouldn't just stop drooling over them.

MOMO alloy wheels definitely command a premium over other brands and the difference in quality is indeed noticeable.

Congrats once again and thanks for the pictures.

The wheels are matt grey (Anthracite). As I said, the pictures dont do justice to the wheel and car. I'm bad at photography and trying to improve .

The finish when you look closely is awesome. I feel the money spent is actually worth just for the surface finish and paint quality on the wheel. Thats why didnt bargain much with the vendor.

Definitely a BHPian. Now wifey demands a gift worth atleast double the money . So much for a set of alloys.

Please do post a color snap - the one you posted on the DeetJohns thread was much better, and had me drooling over your car. Somehow, that effect is lost in this black and white snap.

Can you post pictures with full side profile. When I switched my alloys, I did try Momo revenge and Momo reds Drone. Felt drone suited my car better. But, I would like to see how revenge looks in a car.

How much did you buy the wheels for?
