After selling my Alto some days back, I've booked i10 Sportz version in white. I'm considering to go in for alloys and decent footwear. I've read all the posts in this article but still I'm a little confused.
Right now, I'm thinking to go for either of these alloys

Mag Wheels,Automotive Wheels,Aluminum Alloy Wheels,Car Chrome Wheels,Supplier
Or
Mag Wheels,Automotive Wheels,Aluminum Alloy Wheels,Car Chrome Wheels,Supplier

and for tyres, Im thinking about apollor acelere 175/70R13.

I want to tell that my main priority is to improve looks with least decrease in fuel efficiency. Cornering and handling etc. are not of much concern as it would be mainly driven inside city by my father.
Can someone tell how much would be the decrease in fuel economy if im upgrading to 175 ?

Negligible. Nothing to worry about.

If you are into looks, upgrade to 14"

I'm having Santro Xing with 175 tyres upgraded from stock 155 and there has been no or negligible change in Fuel Economy.

And the four spoke design you've shortlisted is too common nowadays. Moreover, as you're in Delhi so check Sai Mag Wheels personally; you'll find ample number of designs in different finishes. Take your car along as it helps in finalising the most suitable design and finish.

For tyres, why don't you check out Yokohama/ Michelin/ Bridgestone and get tyres changed as soon as possible to get the best buyback.

My budget is around 20-22k, I think 12-15k would be used up for a set of 5 alloys. And assuming that I get 1500 per tyre, so that I can buy anything under 3k per tyre.
What are the best options in that price category ?

Your budget is good. I got four 14" koenig alloys and 185 Yokohama 'A' drives for around 22k after exchange of stock tyres and rims. Don't worry, you have a lot of options within your budget. I highly recommend the A drives. Super ride quality!

I have got HRS 14" (the new multispoke) and 185/60R14 Yokohoma A-drive for 24k after exchanging my stock wheels.
I got them from Sai Iyengar and they look damn cool.

Hope this was an OK deal!

carZest did you pay total of 2700+1500(refunded for stock tyres)=4200 per tyre ?

That's way too high. It should be 2700-1500 = 1200 per tyre.
Yokohama 'A' drive 185/60/14s cost 3000 approx per tyre.

I must say, your alloys are killer.

Anyways, somebody told me that we lose car's warranty if we go for upsizing and after market alloys, is that true ?
My family doesn't like going in for any after market fitments as we have always had a bad experience. And that's the reason we always look out for loaded model. I earlier thought nothing can go wrong with aftermarket tyres and alloys, but now knowing that this could be used by manufacturer as an excuse to void warranty, I may not go for them.

I talked to 2-3 tyre dealer and they told they have fit in a lot of cars.

Please tell me ASAP and i want to get it done today ??

For Turanza the quote is 3050
for XM1+ it is 3200

Please please tell me sooon.

No it will not. Some dealers will tell you anything to make a buck. The rim width on the i10 is just too narrow for a 175. You risk the tyre coming off while driving. At high speeds, this would be a potentially very dangerous situation.

If you want comfortable ride, XM1+ is the tyre but if you'll be taking the car on bad roads frequently then go for Turanzas, as they'll promise a longer life in these conditions.

XM1+ start only at 14". Bottom line, they will not fit on your 13" stock rims. Even if they did in dia, the width would kill it.

Thanks for the correction.

In Santro upgrade thread, a person had 175/60 R13 on stock rims running fine, ideally it's a No-No but do it at your own risk.
