Team-BHP - Michelin XM1 or Potenza for WagonR??

Gripwise also they are really excellent, wet traction is really good compared to bridgestones. Bridgestone's Potenzas are slightly better in grip in dry conditions. Potenza's have softer compound compared to Michelins and hence wear out slightly faster than Michelins.:)

I can say, Michelins are allround tyres.

If u want outright performance then i would go for GIIIs.
XM1s are better all round tyres for city driving with fantastic ride quality and minimum road noise.

I also did find an appreciable increase in road noise around 50 - 60 kmph.

Have just switched from Bridgestone tube-type S322 to Michelin tubeless XM1. The ride is fabulous, gives you a feeling of floating, yet there is no pogo effect. Noise -wise I find no difference. I find the grip is also improved.

Coudn't visit the tyre shop this weekend as we have planned trip to Nandi hills. At Nandi hills i have seen a WagonR fitted with G111 potenza 165/60 R13 on stock rims. I have asked him about the performance he said itz really amazing no problems at atll except he felt the streering became bit heavy.

I really dont know this was because i have already set my mind to get my stock tyre replaced..but on highway tyre noice became so evident and very irriating he he he. Didnt have the guts to test the handling on my way back as it was drizziling !!!.

I have been to Sai Iyengar Tyres this morning. He has quoted for 2300 Michelin and he will buy back my MRF ZVTs 750 per tyre.Current tyres have done only 11K kmts so far.

Please advice the buy back price he has quoted is decent ?

For Micheline XM1 155/65 R13 I have got a better qoute from Tyre Tech JC road (2.2K).When I asked him about my ZVTs he told me that he has to see it before qouting the price.

he gave me Rs 2175 per tyre (he is Michelin dealer)

Tell him that, Sai Iyenger is giving me Rs 750 (he will give the same as well)

Good deals there guys - I got 4 new tyres changed of my Santro Xing 2004 Model ( 49700 kms ) from Stick tyres ( 155 Bridgestone S322 )

Upgraded to Michelin 155/70 R13 Tubeless for 2400 Rs. Per Tyre.

Total spent - 9600 Rupees. Hope its a good deal !!! Got Bill & Warranty Card as well.

Also got Free Alignment / Balancing / Rims straightening done.

Car now rides really smooth - huge difference in City Driving - Very Comfortable Ride.

Oh By the way - I did not add this in the previous post - I got a Reebok Tracksuit worth 1799 rs. Free with these 4 tyres - damn good track suit I must say.

Very very good upper - I mean Jacket - the lower is also good.

Anyone thinking or planning to get their tyres changed - do it now and get michelins - the track suit is alone worth it . Cheers !!

I am currently using Potenza GIII 175/60 R 13 on my Santro Xing. I am very satisfied with its performance especially on expressway. The tyres are completely worn out now(done almost 36K) and its time to change. Now since steering got bit heavy because of 175mm tyre I am thinking of replacing them with Michelin XM1 165/65 R13. I would have gone for Potenza GIII straight away but the given size is not available in Potenza.

Please give your thoughts as I am going to change tyres next weekend.

Hi Abhijit - Please go for the Michelins - 165/65 is allright and will give you a dream ride - though a little harsh - BUT since you have already been using 175 size I think after 165 its only going to improve.

As in the above posts of mine - I just got Michelins 155/70 - Riding michelins for the first time - I have to admit it is really really good - very good grip.

Plus you have the Reebok Tracksuit free :Cheering: . My advise - Go for the Michelin's.

I second this, have ridden on my new Michelin tubeless for near on 700 km so far, vast difference from my earlier Bridgestone tube tyres.
Hey, not fair, I bought five tyres and did not get any track suit.
When did this offer commence, I bought mine first week of September.
