Wanted Swift OE Alloys/Tyres

Wanted Swift OE Alloys/Tyres
My Swift VDI met with acident on the GQ trip recently,
GQ trip link:http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/travel...-run-ii-9.html (GQ Run II (Golden Quadrilateral Run II)) (GQ Run II (Golden Quadrilateral Run II))
3 alloys/tyres damaged in the process, looking for 3 OE alloys (new series 2008 onwards). My car sported Swift OE ZXI alloys+Michelin 185/70/R14 tyres
Since VDI models dont come with alloys, insurance is not covered for them. I live in bangalore, but the car is now in Ahmedabad awaiting repairs.
Hence any tbhpians having booked/recently bought Swift ZXI & planning a alloy/tyre upgrade, pls let me know I am wiling to buy.
So if you can ship it I can pay the money into your bank account directly.
Anybody willing to sell pls PM me.
Regards
Shiv

205/65 R15 is a wrong size. Given the wheel arches of the skoda, I dont think it will foul with the tyres, but your speedo error will be quite bad. It's a wrong size.

wrong size? he only suggested it! could you explain nikhil?? why is it the wrong size? I had initially targeted 195 R15 and he only convinced me with this size. I changed only two, now planning for the other two.

Stock size is 195/65 R15. A proper upgrade would have been 205/60 R15. 205/65R15 is too big.

195/65 R15 has a sidewall height of 126.75mm. 205/60 R15 has a sidewall height of 123mm. 205/65 R15 has a sidewall height of 133mm which is just too big. Almost 7mm difference.

And running two tyres of one size and two of another is not really recommended. Maybe he didnt have the size you wanted in stock.

So I should change the other two tires immediately right? of the same size??

If it is possible, please do it. But it's not critical. Dont go out of your way for now. Also, beware of huge speedo errors now.

7mm increase in a 15" wheel would result in 0.3% increase in circumference and an overall speedo error of 2%. You might be doing 102kmph when the speedo shows 100.
But this is a small price for increasing the ground clearance of a low slung car like Octavia by 7mm. While on the other hand a 205/60 will reduce the clearance by another 3 mm.

ultimately this must result in a increase in distance covered per rotation right? resulting in a better (may be a small) increase in the FE?

and this increased ground clearance is good for me. Octavia is week in that by default.
