If you want to stick to 14" and stock rims, I would suggest 185/60 R14. There are many options in this size.

Else, you can upgrade to 15" and get 195/55 R15. This is the standard size in the Fiesta 1.6 S.

185/60 or the 185/65 R14 is more than enough on a figo.
195's would be overkill for a car like the figo.

Take a look at Joe's figo. He has upgraded to 185/60 R14

2% of difference should be ok as long as you are not worried too much about speedo errors.

195s will not be an overkill for Figo.

If you want to play safe, get the 185/60 R14.

There's a mistake in the tyre size considered in the first post.
The Ikon came with either 175/70/R13 or 175/65/R14.
The best upsize wrt handling/ride quality is 185/60/R14 (plenty of sporty and comfort oriented models available)

For bling 15's , the size available is 195/50/R15

Guys, I will be getting my Figo TDCi next week and am doing some research for a tyre upgrade. Below are some of my queries, I could use some help here

- So what is the best tyre upgrade for a Figo 1.4 185/65/R14 or 185/60R14.
- What would be a good brand/option for this size ?
- Are Michelin PP2's available in india if so at what price?
I am looking for a set of tyres with good handling and ride quality, noise is not an issue for me.

Very honestly, the stock 175 patch is more than enough for the Figo's power characteristics; neither engine is a scorcher. Plus, the chassis dynamics are anyways well sorted out.

I'd stick to the stock size, enjoy the ride quality, but upgrade to a better brand (say, Michelins or Yokohamas). At the max, an upsize to 185/60 R14 (if you really want to).

hi:

Am getting my figo 1.4 tdci delivery tomorrow. One question, if the car is shod with Apollo Accelere, would it be advisable to upgrade to Yoko A drives. I am looking atthis from the point of tyre noise. And in case the car comes with Goodyears, should I change to Yokos? I do not plan to upsize the rims or tyresize due to warranty issues, just plan to get 14" alloys andchange the tyre brand if advised.

Thanks in advance

Just changing the tyre width, say from 175 to 185 nullify the factory warranty ? Or is it only with changing the rim size ?

@happy

The dealer says tyre size or rim size chage, both will void warranty

As per my dealer the warranty gets void if I change the rim size not the tyre width, confusing

I got 195's on my Fiesta which fit in very comfortably. 195 would not be overkill on the Figo and would give it WRC looks very easily. In fact my next change would be 205's for the Fiesta. 195 is a cake walk for Figo. It also depends on what kind of look you want on the car. If it is serious sportscar look, you need to get fatter ones. If you want it to look like another 100's of Figo's, go for 185's but I would not waste my money on up-sizing just by 1 grade. It would barely make any difference in looks if that is your priority.

Tire & Alloy Wheel Upgrade for Ford Figo

All,

My cousin is expecting delivery of his Ford Figo this week by Wednesday.

He wants an upgrade on the tire & alloy wheels.

The Figo I believe comes with 175/65 R14 on steel rims.

What would be the optimum upgrade for the Figo?

What would be the upgrade choice If I am up sizing to 15" alloy wheels?

Tyre sizes remain IDENTICAL to the Fiesta. 185/65 R14 or 195/60 R14 or 195/55 R15 or 205/50 R15.

What is the width of the stock steel rims? If it is 5j, then I will advise a maximum of 185/65 R14 on the OEM steel rims. If it is 5.5j, you can fit even 195/60 R14.
