Re: Indian built/assembled classics

Saw this at a film shooting locale near Vaikom. This is a baby Hindustan as it appears from the front. The rear tail lamps and the number plate lamp are from an Amby.

Re: Indian built/assembled classics

Saw a Badal after ages !! That too in reasonably good nick.
The interiors look complete, even the 'SAIL' badge on the front is right there.
Happy to see a Badal.

Re: Indian built/assembled classics

Can anyone identify this car positively? Probably some kind of Badal/Sipani prototye. I recently saw one in Pune. Wonder if they made more than one actually!

Its a Sail Badal 4 it was manufactured in the 80's, after the Famous Badal 3 Wheeler. The one u saw is a 84 model is there for minor engine work. It has a 175 cc Lambretta Engine, with a Dynastart Unit for starter and charging battery. there are 2 of them here one in pune. not sure of the total number produced though.
