Not only the W124-s sold in India but all the W124-s as a general feature.

Also in W123-s. You can light up one side of the cars front and rear parking lights simultaneously.

1972 Ford Granada Mk 1
And from then on until 1982, Ford's Escort, Capri, Taunus and Granada were all simultaneously available, showroom new.

Ford of Germany discontinued the boxy Taunus in 1982 and replaced it with the aero-style, indep. rear suspension, Sierra from 1983 (actually Diwali '82) onwards.
Ofcourse the Taunus was available during the last years simultaneously. This is an example to be accurate with words. I meant that after a long solo run, the models which followed with new names were these.
In our family in Germany they had Taunus's since the early sixties followed by a Sierra. Very loyal to Ford. Then came a Merc. Each car ran for about 200K Km, very good reliable cars which lasted when rust-proofed. In India we had mainly Cortina, the Taunus 4 door sedans and station wagons. Coupes were rare. But they rotted away.
Some Ford parts are difficult to get as a Ford warehouse where these were housed burned down.

Cheers!

That's no 1955 by any stretch of imagination, amit V8
That's a proper 1956 Chevrolet.

Wasn't just the
tail-light lens, backup light lens, reflector and chrome bezel;
but the sculpting of the sheet-metal itself below the tail-light unit,
the trunk lid, the wrap-around shape of the rear bumper,
and shape and location of the bumper overrider, ...

that differed between the 1955 and the 1956 Chevrolets.

A thought wafted in ...
Detroit once saw an age of conspicuous consumption, annual new designs, et al -- their ostentatious season in the sun, if you will.
,,,and look how they're precariously teeter-tottering on the fence of chapter-eleven today.

That Vauxhall looks interesting, any idea if it is a four or a six. Looks like it could be saved.

Nice imposing grille in the front. Is it from the pre WW2 period or post Going by the looks I would say it is a 14-6 from the 39 to 48 period
