Uh, speedy I took it you were asking about the Morris Oxford (as you'd quoted my post with the pics. of that car), it was at the scrapyard here in HYd. I've no idea about the golf or chor bazaar.

PS- congrats on your new buy Mr. scooby! She doesnt look that bad (atleast not in the pics.!), although this is a surprice from you, going for a car without a/c, power steering etc.! ;)

When I have to drive along with the Tata's new 1lac car then these perks are not available:Cheering: , but will put in an ac for sure!! like the one in my smart!

Wonder if V-16 knows more about the Blue diesel Golf?

Its a White Golf GLD Ram. Apparantly had been for sale for a few months but no one made a good offer. Now its getting restored i believe or maybe the guy will first start it and then take offers as no one gives a reasonable offer for a non runner. P.S. The pet (Rat) is not for sale and does not come with the car:D
Ill keep an eye on it as i go to that place at least 2 times a day. Ill ask the mechanic to keep me updated.

amatmo my friend your not paying attention. the mustang has all the parts. the chassis of the car is intact and the brakes are done with new parts not original mustang parts. he was working on the engine when ni went there. the car will not remain original except for the body shell. he claims he will complete the car in two months. but i dont think that is possible.

1957 Fiat 1100 elegant at the local scrapyard (same place where we'd picked up Suren's fiat; in fact this car appeared just a couple of days later!).....underside was totally rusted, so were the doors along the bottoms...probably explained by the fact that it was a Madras car going by the regn. (with due respect to Madras vintage/classics!)....looks like the previous owner had intended to restore it & proceeded with getting it painted but gave up on it midway.
'had most of the original stuff on though, so we parted out the car for whatever original parts we could take for Suren (seen in the 2nd pic.) before it was scrapped.

thats a nice car stanher. i wonder why owners give up midway. it would have been easy to restore her with everything being there on the car. but a boon in disguise for suren, as he found most of the parts needed for his car. any other nice cars at the scrappers?

Hi ,

Here are some photographs of a 67 Mustang made operational for a friend after it was garaged for 15 years with faulty brakes and transmission.

as long as you got spares and garnish for surens car there is not much that could have been done. how are your cars comming along?

Regrettably Speedy , that is the only Mustang left in Lucknow and the surrounding area. An 8 cyl Mustang from Lucknow was sold earlier this year in Delhi for a reported price of 15 lakhs.

Hello Stanher ,

Seeing your interest in Standards attached find photos of a local Standard Flying 9 - sold for Rs 55,000 . I had offered the seller Rs 40,000 last year.

yes sir i know about that car. been looking out for a mustang for a long time. found a couple but the prices touch the sky even for unrestored ones and in bad shape. the owners just want to let the car rot and go to scrappers but not sell it to someone who wants to take care of them.
the standard flying 9 is very beautiful. like the front grill alot

A Flying 9 today is a rare machine in India. That trademark waterfall radiator grille isnt original, the mesh should be vertical strips.
