Karl, doesn't the Ford Corsair have a scary resemblance to the front of the Subaru 1000. I for once thought that you got the name wrong but there are quite a few noticable differences in this car. Check post # 950 here Subaru 1000

Jeez moral, youre right! kinda spooky indeed...the subarus a much smaller car though.

I see someones doing a helluva lotta homework these days!:thumbs up

Yes indeed but a lot deceptive if you just glance and leave it there :D

thats a 56/7 not a 66...the cars obviously being restored, having had most of the tin work done. there are many people out there who want to do up their fiats besides us you know!

By the looks of the "Dukkar" its lying at a garage. Hope its not a bling project. @ Karl- great pics, love the corvair. Guess it would be pointless to ask if were for sale? :p

right now its in the hands of a big collector...work has stopped for ages as there are too many parts missing...what hell, ill ask him anyways if youre genuinely interested. Its defintiely salvagable. Plus, no Rotties guarding it!

Sounds like what the Herald also was known for (occasionally) in the UK....of course in that case it was because of the swing-axle that would 'tuck-in' on sharp turns....its other (& equally notorious but not as dangerous) problem being falling apart at the joint with the diff'l on either side, courtesy of our Indian roads especially! :p
