There seems to be another Impala in the background, along with some other cars. Is there a source link that you can post?

Hi Moralfibre. I contacted you about four years ago concerning the Austin A40 Dorset in this photograph that you located at a local Ford dealer. I asked if you could see about acquiring the exterior door and quarter panel chrome trim from this car, as I need these pieces to complete the restoration of a Dorset. I am in Riverside, California, USA. Is this car still there? And, if so, would you mind making an inquiry for me. Alternatively, if you have a contact for me, I could contact the owner directly. Thanks!

No idea, sorry! There are some Heralds appearing for sale now and then on olx and even on facebook groups etc. Mostly with their roofs stripped off/lost and advertised as "convertables" and "restored" and therefore worth a fortune as per the sellers!

A Herald stripped off its roof, although not original is still a mechanically good car. One hopefully can find the castaway roof and rebuild the car. People are doing it to Padminis where the body loses its rigidity once "converted".

Finding a roof is even more challenging than finding a needle in a haystack in today's scenario- are you just going to let the rain and sun flood your car's interior while you keep looking for one? Or just keep the car tucked away inside a garage and have it turn into a "barn find" over the years?
And did you (like several others) mean to say the Herald body does not lose its rigidity when converted to a 'topless' one?

A body on chassis will be relatively good even if you take off the roof, compared to monocoque shells is what I intended to say.

I have driven a "Convertible" PP with rear doors integrated into the body to "stiffen" it, and it's as stiff as beagles ears. You can feel the doors moving quite a bit relative to the body when you go on a speed breaker diagonally.
