Kannada star KS Ashwath was taken in a procession on a vintage car of the fire brigade. He was seated on the top, was looking elegant and was the main attraction at the procession

2 similar looking Jaguar XK120 roadsters make an appearance - and by a quirk of fate both are in the same ownership now, and both made a few movie appearences.



As I mentioned in a previous post, for interior driving shots they used an oval window Beetle convertible (maybe since it had a back seat to mount the camera?). I had assumed it was the car that survives in Bombay, but on close inspection we see that the doors have grooves/pressings in the window sill area, making it a 1953-55 model, older than the 1957 in Bombay.

I'm quite sure it was a 35/36 Ford, but couldn't get a clear enough screenshot. Here is another view.



Here is a brand new 1954 DeSoto convertible seen in Missamma, a 1955 Telugu film. We are told it belonged to actress Savitri, and it was also seen in Jigri Dost and Milan.
