Sorry Boss, this is not a "Pagoda". Pagodas are those SL's of 1963 to 1971, W113. Very desirable cars, relatively few to be found in India.

Brilliant. Saw a similar fine example of W114/5 near Haji Ali. Dont remember much apart from the fact that it was maintained by Swadi auto, had the sticker at the usual place.

Harit -Ditto your comment, it seems on a taxi permit, notice the MH01 G given to taxis. This is at Grant road, near the now Sheetal Design studio.

HAPPY NEW YEAR MERC LOVERS!

I want to share with you , this new year, i find myself passionately beginning new projects , restoring my:

w116 350SEL (1976) ,
w123 200D (1983)
and
Chevrolet Caprice (1990) , with patience and determination!

all needing fair work on getting interiors back to complete originality.

where is MBTex type upholstry material available in the market ?

I felt it may be a good idea to change wiring harness with another sparingly used or a new one .

I need all help from all of you, especially regarding telephonic contact numbers of firms/people from whom you have already been sourcing needed parts at reasonable rates from Dubai/US/other markets , without overpaying nor getting cheated in the past.

On the other hand , it would be great if any of you have spotted any local 'donor' car with original interiors ,and when / if you come across one, please help me by informing me of where you have sighted them.

I hope I complete all this by end of 2014!

Love old Mercs, but they are a dime too many.
But the Caprice, that;s one thing rare in here.
Waiting for the pics.....

BTW, is it the box one with single lights or the bathtub whale model?

i have posted a picture of a similar car in the catalogue Dicky! i am photographing the work as it is getting done , but will post them much later , when the car renovation approaches completion.
