Is anyone able to identify where / when this registration is from ?
While the number seems to correspond to old Bombay Presidency series (T 9077 was a 36 Ford), the font I have not seen before. Usually plates were hand painted, and somewhat crudely. This looks different. Or maybe I am overthinking it

A lovely old shot of a pre-war Vauxhall from the classics of travancore cochin malabar facebook page.

Does the plate read TR 6954 or CTR 6954? Over to the experts.

Or perhaps a Cochin "C" car that came to Travancore "TR" ? Probably kept the digits same.

Yaduveer Singh Bera shared this early picture of his grandfather Thakur Prithvi Singh of Bera.

Is K.L 5 an India registration ?

First time seeing "S" as a registration. The other bike is MYS - Shimoga, Karnataka. So wondering if "S" was preceded MYS, considering M V Act came in 1939.

My great grandfather's 1926-27 Dodge is sporting the Coorg Province registration of "CG" or could be "CGA". I have seen many pictures with CGA number. CG was Coorg Government.

Picture from 1934

Some history on Coorg Province
Quote:
Coorg Province was a province of British India from 1834 to 1947 and the Dominion of India from 1947 to 1950............

A Legislative council was established in 1924 comprising 15 elected and five nominated members. Coorg Province became a Part-C state of the Indian Union when the Republic of India was inaugurated on 26 January 1950. In 1956, the state was merged with the neighbouring Mysore State was per the States Reorganisation Act, 1956.
