Thats interesting. Welcome back. But will the car be allowed to use the number again ? Considering it went out of country (and assuming that this was updated in RTA records ? ) The car looks brand new !

The person who took it out of India never updated RTO Records

KLT 1 remained an active number and was transferred to Electronic database as well.

So people who brought the car back had to take to RTO for fitness check and up date the records

Had the fortune to see the car in person last month in Trivandrum

Kudos to the 2 dedicated individuals behind this - for bringing back a BIG piece of Automobile Memorabilia and History of Kerala.

Little details are yet to be completed and I am confident that it will be attended to once the Covid related Travel restrictions etc eases out (a large consignment of bits and pieces are ready abroad)

Car had an interesting journey abroad:

Trivandrum to UK
UK to USA
USA to Trivandrum

Thanks its Back Now

KLT 42/CAN42 to hit the road soon too!

A good look into Mr Rajesh Ambal's garage at Palakkad. It includes the bullet-nosed Studebaker which has been featured in this thread a couple of times.
