And one more thing. Any idea what sort of FE this T Jet model is capable of?

Yes 9.3 is post all discounts!!

ARAI Rating is 15.6. For Actual FE reported by owners, plenty of information is there in Linea T Jet Thread. What I expect from the owners experience would be 9-11 in City.

Guys don't know I am putting this question in right thread but anyways.
Last week I was in my bank (sbi) talking to the branch manager regarding loan for a new car in december, he told me that the best discounts from dealerships are in march as its financial year closing (contrary to my perception that it's at year end). Emphasized that he personally observed this trend. I took his words as he is into this business.
Can anybody put some light on this? How far this stand true?
Thanks

He is right in the Indian context. But internationally the financial year ending is December and all foreign companies follow that. So for SBI March might be the fin year end but not for the car companies. No better discounts than these will come in March. Plus price hike in Jan too.

I completely agree to zulfi hansi's view here. However, sometime there may also be better discounts in March by some auto makers since they have to achieve certain targets of sales to be reflected in their balance-sheet. So, automobiles which lacks sale throughout the year may fetch you better discounts in March than December but vice-versa for the cars selling in good numbers throughout the year.

Based on this brief interaction I wandered into KHT Motors IRR today.
Upon asking the lone lazy exec there, twice and citing your example, he said yes, there was a discount of 1 lac.
I asked him for a brochure and price list which he gave me in a hesitant manner.
I checked and found that the vehicle variant T Jet Dynamic, came with 2 Airbags and ABS.

He said he had no idea what the price difference for this vehicle on road Bangalore would be vs Chennai.
He also stated at that point, that they would not be able to honour the 1 lac discount because they had no stocks left anywhere in the country, of the MY 2013 model of Fiat Linea, regardless of variant. He said this with an air of finality so I politely thanked him, took the brochure and price list and walked away.

Do you wonder why Fiat has consistently failed to set the sales charts afire?
It is a great car and feels really solid etc. However, would I buy one?
Not a chance in hell, if I am going to be treated like this in their showroom! I would be forever afraid of how they would treat my car when it goes for servicing.

Even I had a same kind of experience with KHT Fiat whitefield. I wanted to book Punto 90 HP. I was in touch with the sales person from the same show room for about couple of weeks. However when I went there to book the car he told me that the stock was not available and was trying to push 75 HP which I was not interested. Waste of time interacting with them for close to 2 weeks. I came out of the showroom and directly went to Trident Hyundai and finalized on i20. Fiat looses on two fronts, sales and service. They will never be able to improve any of these for sure.

Thanks for sharing. My experience was different with the KHT Whitefield. Was very professional in approach. Need to wait for the delivery, hope I may not have change my stance. Will keep all posted.

I have got it through company lease program. The car will be owned by my company, used by me, funded by ALD (the lease company), and monthly rent will be paid by me. Since its a company leased car all expences subject to a limit of 30K p.m. will be tax free.

I'm sure you could have got at least 3.25 L for your 2009 SX4

Had quite a few accidents, not major ones though.

We are happy we got 2.5L for it.

Anurag.

Aah nothing like it if you are happy with the price. I just said because here dealers are quoting as much as 3L for 2007 VXi models and a bit more for ZXi.
