2023 Hyundai Verna deliveries commence in India

The all-new Verna is available in four variants: EX, S, SX and SX (O), with prices starting at Rs 10,89,900 (ex-showroom).

Hyundai launched the next-gen Verna in India earlier this month. Now, the brand’s dealerships have commenced deliveries of the car.

The all-new Verna is available in four variants: EX, S, SX and SX (O), with prices starting at Rs 10,89,900 (ex-showroom).

The Verna is available with two petrol engine options. These include a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated unit that makes 113 BHP and 144 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed manual and an iVT. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine develops 158 BHP and 253 Nm and is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. The car does not get a diesel engine option and unlike its rival, the Honda City, it doesn’t come with a strong-hybrid powertrain either.

The new Verna has a striking exterior design with a large grille and a sleek LED light bar stretching across the front end. Inside, the car gets a dual-screen setup with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre and a digital instrument cluster. The car is equipped with a 2-spoke steering wheel and gets ventilated and heated front seats, a power driver’s seat, 64-colour ambient lighting, a Bose audio system, automatic climate control, a wireless charger, an electric sunroof and a smart trunk.
