4th-gen Jeep Wrangler launched at Rs. 63.94 lakh

Jeep has launched the fourth-generation Wrangler in India. It is available in a 5-door Sahara variant priced at Rs. 63.94 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The new Wrangler measures 4,882 mm in length, 1,894 mm in width, 1,838 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 3,008 mm. It features a redesigned 7-slat grille with circular LED headlamps that have integrated LED daytime running lights. The car's front bumper has chrome inserts and houses circular fog lamps. At the rear, the car has rectangular tail lamps and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel.

On the inside, the fourth generation Wrangler comes with a redesigned dashboard that has circular air-conditioning vents and features an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It has a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a twin-pod instrument cluster with a 7-inch MID. Other features include 2-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, rear view camera, keyless entry and ambient lighting among others.

The new Wrangler is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 264 BHP @ 5,250 rpm and 400 Nm @ 3,000 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and a Selec-Trac full-time four-wheel drive system. The SUV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels. 

Standard safety features offered on the new Wrangler include front and side airbags, ABS, brake assist and cornering brake control, traction control, electronic stability control, hill start assist, hill descent control, electronic roll mitigation and rain brake support among others.
