Avanturaa Choppers launches Rudra and Pravega 2000cc bikes

Avanturaa Choppers has launched its first two models in India. Rudra and Pravega will be made-to-order and are priced at Rs. 23.90 lakh and Rs. 21.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) respectively. The company will be taking pre-bookings at the India Bike Week on November 24, 2017. The ARAI certification process is expected to be completed by time the deliveries begin. 

Kevin Alsop, founder of Big Bear Choppers, USA is the chief design engineer of the bikes. The company has collaborated with various OEMs to procure major components like the engine, brakes, suspension, tires, seats and lights. These include S&S Engines, Beringer braking systems, Primo suspensions, Mustang seats, Kellermann lights and Avon tires.

The 2018 Rudra measures 2,908 mm in length, while the seat height is 600 mm. The wheelbase is 2,180 mm and the ground clearance is 150 mm. The Rudra weighs 344 kg and has a 17-litre fuel tank. It rides on 23-inch and 20-inch forged aluminium wheels in the front and rear respectively and are wrapped in a 130/60 section tyre in the front and 280/40 section tyre in the rear.

The 2018 Pravega measures 2,627 mm in length and has a similar seat height and ground clearance as the Rudra. It has a wheelbase of 2,006 mm and weighs 347 kg. The fuel tank capacity is 21 litres. The Pravega gets 21-inch and 18-inch forged aluminium wheels in the front and rear respectively with 120/70 section rubber in the front and a 250/40 section tyre in the rear.

Both bikes are powered by a 2,032cc, V-twin, push-rod actuated engine. That said, company has not revealed power and torque figures of the engine yet. The Beringer-sourced brakes make use of 6-piston calipers at both ends.

Other features include a 3.5-inch analogue speedometer with digital gear display, clock, trip computer, fuel gauge with range indication, tachometer and battery voltage indicator. The bikes come equipped with hazard lights and an anti-theft system.
