China: 2022 BMW 3 Series facelift images leaked

The updated 3 Series is expected to feature a new cabin and dashboard layout, similar to that in the i4 electric sedan.

Images of the 2022 BMW 3 Series facelift have surfaced online almost a year ahead of its global launch. The leaked images reveal a number of design details of the car.

As seen from the spy pics, the 3 Series facelift can be seen with a standard size radiator grille, unlike that of the larger 4 Series. The grille is flanked on either side by a revised set of LED headlamps and updated LED DRLs integrated in the headlamp clusters. The front and rear bumpers are also expected to feature contrasting black elements. The car in the images can also be seen featuring the BMW M mirror caps finished in black.

While there are no images of the interiors, the updated 3 Series is expected to feature a new cabin and dashboard layout, similar to that in the i4 electric sedan. The new 3 Series could also come with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, along with a large 14.9-inch central touchscreen infotainment head-unit among other features.

The powertrain options in the 3 Series facelift are yet to be revealed. The sedan is expected to be offered in both, petrol and diesel versions along with an electric powertrain as well. The exact details of the powertrains are expected to be announced closer to its launch.
