Hero XPulse 200 4-valve spotted testing

At present, the Hero XPulse 200 comes with a 199.6cc, single-cylinder, 2-valve engine.

A Hero XPulse 200 test bike featuring a 4-valve decal has been spotted on the road. This indicates that the bike is likely to swap its 2-valve OHC setup for a 4-valve cylinder head.

The test bike seen in the images is finished in a blue and black theme and has the '4-valve' decal on the fuel tank.

At present, the Hero XPulse 200 comes with a 199.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 18.1 BHP and 17.1 Nm. A 4-valve setup is expected to improve the engine's top-end performance, something the XPulse had been lacking.

It is still unclear if the 2-valve version will be sold alongside the new 4-valve model. If that is the case, the former would be offered at a slightly lower price tag.
