Indonesia: TVS names new bike Apache RTR 200 4V

TVS Motor Company Indonesia has revealed the name of the upcoming Apache motorcycle through a teaser. The bike will be called the Apache RTR 200 4V.

The Apache RTR 200 4V takes styling cues from the Draken concept that was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo. It comes with clip-on handlebars, a digital instrument cluster, split seats, clear lens turn-indicators, an LED tail lamp and a side-mounted exhaust.

The motorcycle is reported to be powered by a 200cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, carburetted, 4-stroke petrol engine with an oil cooler. The engine has 4 valves, which is denoted by the "4V" in the name of the bike. The unit is believed to develop 26 BHP and 22 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The Apache RTR 200 4V has a telescopic fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The bike comes with 270 mm and 250 mm petal disc brakes at the front and rear respectively. Dual channel ABS is expected to be provided as an option.

The motorcycle will get 17-inch alloy wheels shod with a 90/90-R17 section tyre at the front and a 130/70-R17 section tyre at the rear. For India, TVS is likely to provide TVS Srichakra rubber.

TVS is expected to reveal the Apache RTR 200 4V in India on January 20, 2016.
