Maruti Suzuki Ciaz to shift to NEXA from April 1

The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz sedan will be sold through the NEXA dealership chain, starting from April 1, 2017. The Ciaz will thus become the fifth car to be sold on the NEXA platform, after the S-Cross, Baleno, Ignis and Baleno RS.

While it was earlier believed that Maruti will be shifting the Ciaz to NEXA after the introduction of a mid-life facelift later this year, the automaker appears to have dropped the idea as the car has been moved to the new dealership chain without any major changes. The only visible differences include the NEXA-style badges on the boot lid and a new 'NEXA Blue' colour option.

Powering the Ciaz will still be the 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines. Both these power plants will be available with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol will also get a 4-speed automatic as an option.
