Mercedes-Benz C-Class Night Edition silently launched

The Night Package is available on the Avantgarde Line, while the C300d AMG Line has been discontinued.

Since the launch of the next-generation C-Class (W206) is still some time away, Mercedes-Benz has silently introduced the 'Night Edition' version of the sedan - a small update to keep buyers interested in the product.

The C-Class Night Edition is based on the Avantgarde Line. It comes with black exterior details which include high-gloss black louvres, front apron and ORVMs. The car also gets a high-gloss chrome trim, a high-gloss black beltline trim and a window weather strip.

As you may have guessed, the Night Edition is nothing more than just a minor cosmetic update. Surprisingly, the C-Class still misses out on Mercedes' latest MBUX infotainment system, which is available in most models already.

At present, the C-Class is available in two variants - C200 and C220d. The former comes with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 201 BHP. The C220d comes with a 2.0-litre diesel that puts out 192 BHP. A 9-speed automatic transmission comes as standard with both engines. The C300d AMG Line has been discontinued.
