Mini John Cooper Works discontinued in India

The Mini range now includes the 3-Door Hatch, Convertible and the 3-Door Cooper SE all-electric model.

The Mini John Cooper Works (JCW) has been delisted from the brand’s India website, which suggests that the model may have been discontinued.

The Mini JCW was launched in India in June 2021 and was imported via the CBU route. It was the sportier version of the standard Mini 3-Door Hatch.

The Mini JCW was powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine tuned to produce 228 BHP and 320 Nm. The engine was mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The John Cooper Works also received sporty treatment on the outside. It came with optional 18-inch alloy wheels, a contrasting paint finish for the roof and ORVMs, and a different front apron design.

The Mini range now includes the 3-Door Hatch, Convertible and the 3-Door Cooper SE all-electric model.
