Nissan Micra gets new features; prices start at Rs. 5.99 lakh

Nissan has updated the Micra hatchback with new features. Prices of the updated model start at Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). No mechanical changes have been made to the car as it continues to be powered by the same petrol and diesel engine options.

Major updates made to the 2017 Nissan Micra include the addition of features like automatic headlamps with follow me home function and rain sensing wipers. The interiors get a blacked out theme and orange detailing around the centre console, door pads and upholstery stitching. A new 2-DIN infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity is also on offer. The system also supports CD, USB, FM/AM and AUX inputs.

The Micra continues to be available with two engine options - a 1.2-litre petrol that churns out 73 BHP and 104 Nm of torque with an X-tronic CVT gearbox and a 1.5-litre diesel rated at 63 BHP and 160 Nm of torque, while being coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The petrol automatic has an ARAI certified fuel economy figure of 19.34 km/l, while the diesel manual variant returns 23.08 km/l.
