Open-top Ferrari LaFerrari unveiled

Ferrari has officially unveiled the convertible variant of its fastest supercar, the LaFerrari. The Italian automotive marquee will reveal the name and specifications of the car at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The number of cars that will be built will also be disclosed at the same event, though the company has announced that all units have already been sold out, after a special preview to prospective customers.

Though deeper details aren't available at the moment, Ferrari has confirmed that the LaFerrari Spider will have two options for the roof: a removable carbon fibre hard top, and a foldable soft top. There won't be any electronically folding hard top roof, similar to what is offered with the 488 Spider.

Powering setup in the LaFerrari Spider will be the same as that of its coupe. This means that the new Ferrari drop top will house a 6.3-litre V12 engine, that works is harmony with an electric motor to cumulatively generate 950 BHP.
