Rumour: Indian Scout Sixty coming to India by May 2016

Indian Motorcycle revealed the Scout Sixty at EICMA 2015 in November. Priced lower than the Scout, it is the company's most affordable offering. According to a media report, the bike could be launched in India by May 2016.

The Scout Sixty is powered by a 999cc, liquid cooled, four-valve, V-Twin engine that develops 78 BHP and 89 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The regular Scout has a 1,131 cc, V-twin engine that puts out about 99 BHP and 97.7 Nm of torque. It also comes with a 6-speed gearbox.

The Scout Sixty shares its suspension with the regular Scout. It has telescopic forks with 120 mm of travel and dual shock absorbers with 76 mm of travel at the front at the rear respectively. The 298 mm discs brakes at the front and rear are borrowed from the regular Scout as well.

With the market for premium motorcycles growing at a fast rate, it should come as no surprise that Indian Motorcycle is mulling the introduction of the Scout Sixty in India.
