Rumour: KUV100 facelift to be called KUV100 NXT; launch soon

The launch of the updated Mahindra KUV100 could be just around the corner. As per media reports, Mahindra could launch the car with a new name - KUV100 NXT. It will reportedly be available in 10 variants.

According to one report, the KUV100 NXT will be more than just a facelift. It is believed that the updated version is slightly longer than the current model and will receive some design changes. It is likely to get new front and rear bumpers, grille, skid plate and a revised set of headlights and tail lights. It will be offered with new 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and 9 exterior paint options including three dual-tone options.

The KUV100 NXT apparently gets new features and equipment too. Top-end variants could get a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation. Features like remote tail gate, electric folding ORVMs, rear parking sensors, automatic climate control, steering-mounted controls, height adjustable driver's seat, cooled glove box and mood lighting are also expected to be available on select variants.

Under the hood, the KUV100 NXT is likely to use the same engines as the current model. While the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine produces 82 BHP and 115 Nm of torque, the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder diesel makes 77 BHP and 190 Nm. However, according to the report, Mahindra may have tweaked the engines for better fuel economy. It also mentions that the NVH and suspension have been tweaked as well.

Mahindra is yet to announce the launch date of the KUV100 facelift. There has been no official confirmation regarding its name or the exact specifications.
