Rumour: Mahindra Mojo enters trial production

Mahindra Two Wheelers had announced the Mojo 300 motorcycle in 2010. It showcased the bike at the 2012 Auto Expo and once again at the 2014 Auto Expo. Last year, the company displayed the bike at a dealer meeting as well. All these years, the bike has been seen on tests at various places in the country. While enthusiasts have been waiting eagerly, Mahindra has refrained from launching the product. Now, media reports suggest that Mahindra has finally started trial production of the Mojo.

The launch of the bike is rumoured to be in June 2015.

The Mojo is equipped with twin headlamps, a cowl with integrated day-time running lights, an instrument cluster comprising of a digital speedometer with an analogue tachometer, a shift light and low fuel indicator, LED tail lamps and twin exhausts. Suspension duties are carried out by an inverted fork and a monoshock at the front and rear respectively. The bike is powered by a 295 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that develops 27 bhp @ 8000 rpm and 25 Nm of torque @ 6500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

With Mahindra delaying the launch of the Mojo for so long, we fear that the bike could have become outdated already.
