Suzuki Ertiga Cruise Hybrid debuts with new mild-hybrid tech

Suzuki claims a fuel efficiency of over 20 km/l thanks to the larger battery.

Suzuki has launched the Ertiga Cruise Hybrid at the Indonesia International Motor Show. The MPV gets an updated mild-hybrid powertrain and other cosmetic enhancements.

The Ertiga Cruise Hybrid is powered by a 1.5-litre K15B Smart Hybrid engine, paired with a larger 10 Ah battery pack. It produces 103 BHP and 138 Nm and is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a torque converter automatic gearbox. Suzuki claims a fuel efficiency of over 20 km/l thanks to the larger battery.

The Ertiga Cruise Hybrid looks similar to the model offered in India. However, it gets a sporty body kit with fog lamps, LED DRLs, a roof spoiler and dual-tone alloy wheels. Inside, the MPV gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a twin-pod instrument cluster and a 3-spoke steering wheel.

In terms of features, the Ertiga Cruise Hybrid gets idle start/stop, cruise control, automatic climate control and cooled cup holders.
