Tata Nexon gets new base variants; prices start at Rs 8 lakh

The Tata Nexon diesel range now starts at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Motors has launched three new variants of the Nexon. The introduction of the new entry-level petrol and diesel variants has dropped the base price of the Nexon to Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Nexon is now available in Smart (O) Petrol priced at Rs 8 lakh and Smart+ and Smart+ S diesel trims that cost Rs 10 lakh and Rs 10.60 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

Tata Motors has also slashed the prices of the Smart+ and Smart+ S petrol variants by Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000, respectively. The Smart+ petrol trim is now priced at Rs 8.90 lakh, while the Smart+ S trim is available at Rs 9.40 lakh.

Tata Motors continues to offer the Nexon with two engine options. These include a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
