Tata Safari facelift drops some camo; headlamp pods revealed

The upcoming Tata Safari facelift is also expected to get several new features, including ADAS.

The Tata Safari is due to get a major makeover soon, and the latest spy images have revealed more details of the SUV's front fascia.

The test mule you see in these images, appears to have a close-to-production front bumper. It has vertical headlamp pods that could house a set of projectors. However, this particular test car is equipped with dummy lights.

The updated Safari will also get a redesigned grille flanked by LED daytime running lights. Tata has also made some changes to the rear end of the car. It is likely to get slimmer LED tail lights with an LED light bar and new design 5-spoke alloy wheels.

The updated Safari is expected to be offered with the same 2.0-litre diesel engine as before. This unit puts out 168 BHP and 350 Nm and comes paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. Tata is also working on a new 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine for the Harrier and Safari.
