Toyota Land Cruiser comes at an eye-watering price in Delhi

The on-road price of the Lexus LX500d will be a lot higher than the Land Cruiser LC300.

Last week, Toyota silently announced the price for the Land Cruiser LC300. With a price tag of Rs. 2.1 crore, the SUV certainly doesn’t come cheap. Moreover, its on-road price in Delhi is an eye-watering Rs. 2.45 crore.

The price list obtained through a Toyota dealer in Delhi gives a better idea of the actual price that customers will have to pay to bring home a Land Cruiser LC300. The on-road price includes a road tax of 12.5%, which amounts to Rs. 26,25,000, TCS and CES of Rs. 2,10,000 each, registration charges of Rs. 10,700 and insurance which costs Rs. 4,67,738.

It's no surprise that the Land Cruiser LC300 comes at a hefty price tag as the SUV is imported via the CBU route. The SUV, known for its all-terrain capabilities, is based on the TNGA-F platform. It has a massive road presence thanks to an imposing grille and squared-off wheel arches that house 20-inch wheels.

In India, the Land Cruiser LC300 is offered with a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel engine. It produces 305 BHP and 700 Nm and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 4-wheel drive system.

Lexus has also launched the LX500d in India. It is priced much higher at Rs. 2.82 crore.
