Updated Bajaj Dominar 400 specs leaked; gets power hike

Spy images have suggested that the Bajaj Dominar 400 is likely to get updates in the days to come. Now, a leaked document suggests that the motorcycle will get more power and a new front suspension among other changes.

The document reveals that the Dominar continues to use the same 373cc, single-cylinder petrol engine and 6-speed gearbox as the present model. However, it will produce 39.35 BHP @ 8,650 rpm and 35 Nm of torque @ 8,000 rpm as against 35 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 35 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm of the current model.

The new Dominar measures 2,156 mm in length, 836 mm in width and 1,112 mm in height with a wheelbase of 1,453 mm and ground clearance of 157 mm. This means it will be 23 mm wider than the outgoing bike. All the other dimensions remain the same. With a kerb weight of 184.5 kg, it weighs 2.5 kg more than the outgoing model.

Other changes to the bike include an upside-down (USD) fork suspension at the front, side-mounted double stacked exhaust, a redesigned radiator and an updated instrument cluster.

Older Dominar owners can get the USD forks, exhaust and mirrors from the new bike fitted on their bikes.
