Volkswagen has started testing the ID.4 all-electric crossover in India. The high-performance GTX variant was recently spotted testing on public roads.

The test vehicle seen in these images is finished in a dual-tone shade of red and black. It is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels and is said to have pop-out door handles.

This particular ID.4 test mule appears to have an all-black interior with a floating touchscreen infotainment system. It has a 3-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster as well.

Globally, the Volkswagen ID.4 is offered with a range of powertrains including single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations. The GTX variant packs 299 BHP and is powered by a 77 kWh battery pack. VW claims it can cover up to 480 km on a single charge.
