More details about Honda's Auto Expo line-up have emerged. In addition to the second-generation Amaze, Honda will reportedly showcase the new 7-seat CR-V and the Civic.

The new Civic gets a gloss black front grille with sweptback LED headlights. The car has large C-shaped tail lights and a notchback-style rear end. A facelift version of the current Civic is likely to be offered in India. The new Civic is likely to get a 1.8-litre, naturally aspirated VTEC petrol engine, while the 1.6-litre diesel engine is expected to be offered as an option.

While the exact timeline of the launches is not known, both the Civic and the CR-V are part of Honda's plan to launch six cars in India by 2020.

Rumour: Hyundai i20 AT facelift gets 1.2L petrol engine, CVT

According to a media report, the upcoming Hyundai Elite i20 automatic facelift will be offered with a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine. The smaller capacity engine will replace the 1.4-litre unit that currently powers the i20 automatic. Additionally, the new Elite i20 is rumoured to get a continuously variable transmission (CVT) paired with the 1.2-litre engine. It is set to make its debut at the 2018 Auto Expo.

It has been reported that the new CVT has been developed specifically for India and is likely to make the new model more fuel efficient than the outgoing 1.4-litre version that comes with a torque converter. The report suggests that it won't come with paddle shifters however this feature could be introduced in the future.

The smaller 1.2-litre engine will also put the i20 is a lower tax bracket - more specifically, it will attract 12.5% tax, which applies to sub-4 meter vehicles and cars with 1,200 cc petrol engines. This should allow Hyundai to price the new i20 automatic more competitively.

Currently, the Hyundai Elite i20 1.4 automatic attracts 24% tax. It is available in only one trim (Magna) and is priced at Rs. 9.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). That's Rs. 81,000 more than the Maruti Baleno Alpha CVT variant.

Apart from the new engine and transmission, the Elite i20 facelift will get revised styling with a new grille, re-worked tail lights and new alloy wheels among other updates.

Rumour: Next-gen Hyundai Santro to debut at 2018 Auto Expo

As spy images have suggested, Hyundai has been working on a new hatchback for the Indian market. According to a media report, the new model, which could be named 'Santro', will make its debut at the 2018 Auto Expo. The car will be showcased alongside the Hyundai i20 facelift.

A test mule of the new hatchback was recently spotted in Delhi. The images don't reveal much, except for the tail light and the high-mounted stop light. The tall-boy design of the new car is evident though. Also, like the previous sighting, this test mule is riding on steel wheels.

Media reports suggest that the new Santro will replace the Eon to slot under the Grand i10 in Hyundai's model line-up. The car is likely to use the same 1.0-litre Kappa petrol engine from the Eon. Entry-level variants powered by an 800cc petrol engine can't be ruled out either. There have also been reports that the car will be a replacement for the erstwhile i10 and use a 4-cylinder petrol engine. That said, there has been no word from Hyundai regarding the new hatchback and the engines that could be used to power it.
