Bajaj Chetak 3503 launched at Rs 1.10 lakh

The Chetak 3503 has a range of 155 km on a single charge and a top speed of 63 km/h.

Bajaj Auto has launched a new variant of the Chetak 35 series. The new Chetak 3503 is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it the most affordable model in the 35 series.

The Chetak 3503 comes with the same 3.5 kWh battery pack as the higher variants. It has a range of 155 km and can be charged from 0-80% SOC in 3 hours and 25 minutes. The top speed is also slightly lower at 63 km/h.

The Chetak 3503 also misses out on a few features. It has a colour LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity, standard turn indicators instead of the sequential variety, and a drum brake instead of a disc at the front. Other features include two riding modes: Eco and Sports, and hill-hold assist.

2025 Bajaj Dominar 400 reaches dealerships ahead of launch

The Dominar 400 competes with the Triumph Speed 400, Hero Mavrick 440 and the Apache RTR 310.

Bajaj Auto is gearing up to launch the 2025 edition of the Dominar 400. The updated bikes have already started reaching dealerships, which suggests that the price announcement could be made anytime soon.

The 2025 Dominar 400 will come with a new LCD instrument console similar to the Pulsar NS 400 Z. It offers features like turn-by-turn navigation and call and SMS alerts. The bike gets a new switchgear and the small digital display near the fuel tank has been replaced with a USB charging port.

The 2025 Dominar 400 will be powered by the same 373.3cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine as before. This unit produces 39 BHP @ 8,800 rpm and 35 Nm @ 6,500 rpm and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper clutch.

The Dominar 400 competes with the Triumph Speed 400, Hero Mavrick 440 and the Apache RTR 310.

Madhur Bajaj, former vice-chairman of Bajaj Auto, passes away

Madhur Bajaj was the first cousin of Rahul Bajaj.

The former vice-chairman of Bajaj Auto, Madhur Bajaj, has passed away. He was 73.

Madhur Bajaj had stepped down from the post of non-executive director and vice-chairman of Bajaj Auto in January 2024, citing health reasons.

Madhur Bajaj was the first cousin of Rahul Bajaj. He was associated with the company for 23 years.

Bajaj was an alumnus of Doon School, Dehradun, and graduated from Sydenham College, Bombay. He had an MBA from the International Institute of Management Development, Switzerland.

Rajiv Bajaj reappointed as Bajaj Auto MD & CEO

Abhinav Bindra has been reappointed as a non-executive independent director.

Bajaj Auto’s Board of Directors has approved the reappointment of Rajiv Bajaj as the company’s MD and CEO for another 5-year term.

The board has also reappointed Abhinav Bindra as a non-executive independent director of the company for a second 5-year term. The reappointments are based on the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and will be subject to shareholder approval.

The company’s Board of Directors has also approved an additional capital infusion of up to Rs 1,500 crore into Bajaj Auto Credit Ltd. The investment will be made in the form of equity capital, preference capital, or subordinate debt during FY2025-26.

GoGo: Bajaj Auto's all-new electric autorickshaw brand

The new Bajaj GoGo comes in three variants: P5009, P5012 and P7012, with prices starting at Rs 3.27 lakh.

Bajaj Auto has announced the launch of GoGo, its all-new brand of e-autos. Prices for the Bajaj GoGo electric 3-wheeler start at Rs 3,26,797 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new Bajaj GoGo comes in three variants: P5009, P5012 and P7012, where ‘P’ stands for Passenger, ‘50’ and ‘70’ are size indicators, while ‘09’ and ‘12’ denote the battery capacity of 9 kWh and 12 kWh, respectively.

The Bajaj GoGo e-autos have a stylish design with a full-metal body and LED lights. The 2-speed transmission is said to improve range and gradability on roads. Bajaj claims a maximum range of 251 km on a single charge.

The GoGo e-autos are also equipped with segment-first safety features like Auto Hazard and Auto-Roll Detection as standard. Bajaj also offers a 5-year battery warranty and the ‘Premium TecPac’ that includes features such as remote immobilisation and reverse assist.

Bajaj Auto to invest Rs 1,360 crore in KTM

Bajaj’s board has also approved the investment of approximately Rs 1,350 crore in BAIHBV.

Austrian bike maker KTM has been going through a financial crisis for the last few months. In November, the company had said that it was seeking funding of approximately Rs 890 crore to keep itself financially stable.

According to the latest reports, Bajaj Auto might come to the rescue for the ailing 2-wheeler manufacturer. It is said that the company might invest Rs 1,360 crore through its subsidiary Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV (BAIHBV) based in the Netherlands. Bajaj’s board has also approved the investment of approximately Rs 1,350 crore in BAIHBV.

As per a regulatory filing, the investment will be either in the form of equity capital/preference capital/loan – convertible or otherwise, as may be determined in the due course, in one or more tranches.

Pierer Mobility Group currently holds a majority stake in KTM, while Bajaj Auto International Holdings has a 49% stake in the Austrian motorcycle brand.

The 2025 Pulsar RS200 is powered by the same 199cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 24.13 BHP and 18.74 Nm.

Bajaj has launched the 2025 edition of the Pulsar RS200. The bike is priced at Rs 1,84,115 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new Pulsar RS200 looks similar to the outgoing model. It has dual projector headlamps with LED DRLs at the front and a redesigned tail section with integrated LED taillights. 

The Pulsar RS200 now comes with a Bluetooth-enabled LCD instrument console with features like Turn-by-turn navigation and call/message alerts.

The 2025 Pulsar RS200 is powered by the same 199cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 24.13 BHP and 18.74 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via an assist and slipper clutch. It has three riding modes: Road, Rain, and Offroad.

The bike is equipped with a telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking is handled by discs at both ends, supported by dual-channel ABS. The RS200 now has wider tyres with a 110/70 section in the front and 140/70 section rubber in the rear.

The Pulsar RS200 is available in three colours—Glossy Racing Red, Pearl Metallic White, and Active Satin Black.

The 2025 Pulsar RS200 looks similar to the outgoing model. However, there are some notable changes, including a new taillamp, comprising of two boomerang-shaped lights placed on either side of the number plate holder.

The bike looks as aggressive as before, especially in this two-tone white and red colour scheme. It has dual projector headlamps with LED DRLs and a short windscreen. Another addition is the LCD instrument console, which replaces the old semi-digital unit. It is expected to get Bluetooth connectivity.

2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 teased ahead of launch

At the end of last month, Bajaj Auto teased a new RS model. It appears that the bike maker will be kicking off the new year with the launch of the Pulsar RS200.

The 2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 was recently spotted testing, and now the company has put out another teaser of the upcoming bike. Looking at the silhouette, the new RS200 appears to have a familiar design.

The Pulsar RS200 will have a fairing with dual projector headlights and a short windscreen. The bike will get clip-on handlebars and a stepped seat with a short tail section. It rides on alloy wheels and has a rear tyre hugger.

As part of the update, the Pulsar RS200 is expected to get a new digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. It could also come with a new taillight, a wider rear tyre and a different rear number plate holder.
