Earlier this year, Ford launched the Aspire. Now, the Figo facelift has been spotted in India with similar updates.

Spy images suggest that the updated Figo is likely to receive a similar grille and bumpers with black inserts as the Aspire. The test vehicle is equipped with a set of revised headlamps, front fog lamps and is riding on black alloy wheels. One of the test cars has decals on the sides and tail gate with a 'Blu' moniker, which could be a suffix for the facelift or the CNG variant.

The Figo facelift is also expected to get updated interiors with a new dashboard and centre console similar to the new Aspire and Freestyle.

The Figo facelift could be offered with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Dragon Series petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Spy images indicate that a CNG variant is also in the works.

Scoop! Ford Ka+ facelift (Figo) spotted testing in India

Thanks to Vivek Dhiman for sending this image in. Heartfelt gratitude for sharing it with other enthusiasts via this Team-BHP page

The upcoming Ford Figo facelift has been spotted completely undisguised in India. However, the test car is sporting a Ka+ badge which suggests that this may not be an India-spec version. The Ford Figo hatchback is sold as the Ka+ in global markets and hence we can expect to get similar updates on the Figo facelift here in India.

The Ka+ facelift was globally unveiled in February 2018. The updated model receives a new front bumper with a revised air dam and C-shaped chrome fog lamp surrounds. The front grille has a chrome frame and mesh, while the headlamps feature chrome inserts. In the rear, the Figo / Ka+ facelift gets a new bumper and tail lights, while on the interior, the car gets a redesigned dashboard with a touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. The recently unveiled Ford Freestyle has a similar dashboard. The Aspire sedan is also likely to get similar updates.

In India, the Figo facelift is expected to be offered with Ford's new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Dragon Series petrol engine. The engine also does the duty on the Freestyle and is based on the 1.5-litre Dragon Series engine which debuted on the new EcoSport. This engine produces 95 BHP and 120 Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine with 99 BHP / 215 Nm will be retained.

Ford Figo facelift spied with new grille, smoked headlamps

Back in August 2017, a test mule of what appeared to be the Figo-based crossover was spotted at a dealer yard in India. New spy images of the Figo hatchback have now surfaced revealing an updated front fascia.

The most notable change on the Figo facelift is the new front grille. A mesh type grille replaces the old slatted unit, while the front bumper receives minor revisions. It also gets smoked headlamps and multi-spoke alloy wheels in a black finish. The new Figo is likely to receive cosmetic updates to the rear as well, including a set of redesigned tail lights.

Inside, the new Figo could get updated interiors with an improved infotainment system. The touchscreen infotainment system from the new EcoSport might be offered on the upcoming hatchback.

Ford introduced a new 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder Dragon series petrol engine on the EcoSport. The company might offer this engine on the Figo facelift, while the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel is likely to be carried over from the outgoing model. That said, there has been no official word confirming this.

New Ford Figo hatchback interiors snapped ahead of launch

Thank you to Sandeep Sidhu for sending in this image. Heartfelt gratitude for sharing it with other enthusiasts!

Ford will launch the new Figo hatchback in India on September 23, 2015. With just days to go for the launch, more spy images of the car have surfaced.

The spy images show the interiors of the car. The design of the interior is identical to that of the Figo Aspire compact sedan that was launched in August. However, the colour scheme is different. The dashboard, steering wheel, door panels and centre console are all black instead of beige and black. The seats of the car are black as well and the pillars are grey.

Instead of piano black, there are silver inserts around the infotainment system and central air-conditioner vents, around the gear lever, on the doors and on the steering wheel. The air-conditioner vents at the extreme ends of the dashboard have chrome bezels. The instrument cluster and switchgear have been carried over from the Aspire and the car is equipped with dual front airbags.

The new Figo hatchback replaces the old Figo in India.

New Ford Figo hatchback spotted without camouflage

Thank you to BHPian Praveenbalan for sharing these images with other enthusiasts.

The next-generation Ford Figo hatchback has been spotted once again, completely undisguised. The car is expected be launched by the end of the year.

The images show the car wearing an orange shade, with fog lamps and alloy wheels. The car is based on the Ka hatchback which Ford sells in Brazil. It uses the company's new design language with an Aston Martin-like, hexagonal front grille and swept back headlamps. At the rear, there is a roof-mounted spoiler, a windshield wiper and forward-pointing wraparound tail lamps. "Titanium" and "TDCi" badges on the hatch suggest that this is the top end trim level of the diesel version of the car.

The Figo hatchback is expected to be loaded with equipment including Ford MyKey, an infotainment screen, a mobile dock (on lower variants), an integrated music system with Ford's SYNC, automatic climate control and electronic folding mirrors, among others.

The Figo hatchback expected to share its engines and transmissions with the Aspire. These include a 1.2-litre TiCVT petrol unit and a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel.

Ford Figo Aspire interiors spied

Last week, Ford unveiled the Figo Aspire sedan at its new plant in the state of Gujarat. The car is expected to go on sale later this year. Meanwhile, The Car & Bike Show has put up some images of the interiors of the Titanium variant of the car.

The images indicate that the Aspire gets dual-tone black and beige interiors. The dashboard is inspired by some existing products from the Ford range. The top surface of the dashboard, multi-function steering wheel and centre console are all finished in black. The area around the infotainment system and central air-conditioner vents is finished in piano black. The air-conditioner vents at the extreme ends of the dashboard are round and have chrome rings outlining them. The lower portion of the dashboard is finished in beige. Many of the parts appear to be shared with other Ford models. The seats of the car are all-beige. The door panels are beige as well with black inserts. The leg room at the read appears to be decent.

The Aspire will come with a device dock which allows the driver to store, mount and charge mobile phones, MP3 players and satellite navigation systems, and to integrate these devices into the car’s entertainment system. Customers can also buy a variant of the Figo Aspire equipped with Ford's SYNC with AppLink in-car connectivity system. SYNC with AppLink allows drivers to control their phone, entertainment and apps hands-free using voice commands.

The Figo Aspire will come with a choice of a 1.2-litre petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. A 1.5-litre petrol unit mated to an automatic transmission is also rumoured to be in the works.

Ford will pit the Figo Aspire against the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest.

Scoop: Next-gen Figo spotted with an automatic transmission

Thanks to BHPian rohitbagai for sharing the pictures with fellow auto enthusiasts!

Test mules of the Ford Figo hatchback and Aspire compact sedan have been spotted on several occasions. This time around, the Figo has been spotted with an automatic transmission.

The gear lever seems similar to the EcoSport's unit and the new Figo also has an 'S' mode along with the regular 'P', 'R', 'N' and 'D' modes. There is no confirmation on whether or not Ford will offer a double clutch transmission (DCT) in the Figo like the EcoSport. However, if it does, the Figo will be the cheapest car equipped with a DCT. The same transmission might be available on the compact sedan too. There is still no news about which engine will be mated to the automatic transmission.

The car in the picture appears to be of the mid variant of the Figo. It has got steering mounted controls, an integrated audio system, electrically adjustable ORVMs, piano black inserts on the steering wheel and dash, as well as chrome rings around the side air-con vents and the headlamp control knob. The exteriors of this particular car feature black door handles and ORVMs, full wheel caps and no rear wiper/washer.

Ford has been a company that focuses on one product to drive sales. Earlier it was the Figo and now, it is the EcoSport. However, these two new cars from Ford seem to be promising and are expected drive back volumes for the company when they hit the showrooms later this year.

Ford India testing left hand drive version of new Figo

Ford has been testing the next-gen Figo hatchback in India for a while now. New spy shots show a left hand drive version of the car, indicating that cars for export markets could be rolled out of the company's Sanand plant, which is scheduled to be inaugurated later this month.

Based on the Ka hatchback which Ford sells in Brazil, the Figo uses the company's new design language with an Aston Martin-like, hexagonal front grille and swept back headlamps. Brazil also gets the full-sized Ka+ sedan, which is not expected to be sold in India. Instead, we will get a sub-4 metre version of the car, which is likely to be called the Figo Aspire.

The Figo hatchback and compact sedan are likely to be powered by new 4-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. A naturally aspirated version of the 3-cylinder, 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine could also be used.

The Ford Figo hatchback and compact sedan are expected to replace the current Figo hatchback and Classic sedan respectively.
