Same as the Figo Aspire, with the addition of a 'Base' model - presumably a loss-leader to hit a price point. Impressively, even that base model comes with an airbag, albeit just for the driver.

So some features are indeed being cut w.r.t Aspire - the Trend gets only front power windows, it seems! Aspire has rear power windows too for Trend. Also there is no mention of airbags in the screenshot above!

Did a small comparo between the top end petrol, diesel and the automatic (highlighting the differences only).
from my side. Looks like it will tick all the right boxes - safety being my most paranoid concern followed by power and phone/BT connectivity. Only wish the auto came with 6 balloons (a la Ecosport) - but the current avatar is not too bad either.

Way to go Ford! Here's hoping for a competitive pricing and successful run.

I will make a bold statement here. These loss leaders don't sell in worthwhile amounts and drag down the resale significantly as well.

If a car starts at 4.29 lakhs, it is ingrained in the minds of customers and people in the industry like dealers etc .So when I buy a Titanium + diesel for 8.5 lakh OTR and sell it 3/4 years down the line , it will be difficult to get twice the resale value because no will be ready to pay twice the amount for what is a same car but with different engines/features.

If Ford has any interest in propping up its already poor resale then drop the base models and even the Ambiente trim. Most of the sales anyways come from the Titanium trim. A higher starting price would mean better resale.

The difference between Aspire 1.2 Titanium Petrol and 1.5 Titanium AT is 1.1L. With that logic the Figo 1.5 AT would be ~6.8 L. That seems to be very good pricing. Would make it cheaper than the Micra and Brio Top end AT's.

Edit Again: RavenAvi's update indicates the AT pricing at 691,000. In line with the Brio and Micra top and and a full 1.7L cheaper than the GT TSI. Finally an excellent VFM AT in the hatchback space that does not compromise on performance or AT technology.

Congrats on getting the pricing right through your sources.No one seems to be appreciating you for getting the pricing right though people were literally bombarding you on the Creta thread. That's the world and how it is.

Coming to the pricing, the difference between Figo and Aspire for the same trim is hardly 30K. In a country like ours where a boot is a sign of prestige ahem: , most will go for the Aspire and this is another Tata Bolt in the making.

Ford has smartly given tge illusion of value for money image by getting a stripper base model.

Make no mostake, the Aspire itself is priced well and that itself creates a problem for the hatch sibling just like zest vs bolt.

Price difference between Figo and Aspire is pretty good unlike Bolt and Zest which made Bolt redundant.
