one noob question why the crossover has 2 different inputs for the tweets and the mid bass.

I believe that this is what allows one to bi-amp their components.

Bi-amping is running 2 channels off an amp into the same crossover, it gives the components more power, keeps the setup passive, and negates the losses of bridging.
