PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

The second shot of the Elantra looks awesome . Looks like you got the stock alloys painted gloss black . How much did you pay for painting the alloys ?
Ya Some high resolution shots would be really nice.

Apologies for the low resolution images. A formal photo shoot is due once I am back in town.

Cheers,

It looks good but I think you need to debadge it. It will look much cleaner from the back then.

Not sure if she qualifies to be on this thread, especially as most enhancements were DIYed.

Definitely does. A couple of things I'd do differently:
  1. Drop the ST badging
  2. Get rid of the chrome on the drl surrounds
  3. Wrap the chrome bit on the grille to a brushed aluminium finish

Cheers!

Awesome looking car you have there mate!
Just curious, why has the stripes stopped before the bumpers? Personally feel it would look better if the stripes went all the way to the bottom of the car, including front and rear bumpers. Just a personal thought! If you prefer it this way, keep it as it is!
After-all, it is your happiness that counts the most when it comes to your car!!
Cheers!

Re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

My modified Chevrolet Beat:
- Xenon headlamps with angel lights.
- Rally stripes from fender to fender.

Subtle mods for a different look.

@karizma9292: how did you do the yellow tints on the fog lamps?

The Xenon headlamps and the white rally stripes looks superb on the red car

Everything just got wasted with that rear bull bar

I understand that it is for practicality to avoid dings to the bumper, but it totally killed the rear look. Please get it removed, if possible.

I agree! Love the looks of the car, but please get rid of the rear bull bar!
And if possible the roof rails. Looks out of place in my honest opinion

Also, have you considered wrapping the chevy logo as well? I've seen some matte and CF black wraps that make the logo drool worthy! But since you are going with a red + white combo, maybe it's worth wrapping the front logo in white perhaps? What do you think?

Re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

@Soumyajit9 : The rear guard is a necessary evil here in Delhi, most people are now resorting to them irrespective of how they look, because of the rash and negligent driving especially by motorcyclists. I myself had a bad experience with my Scorpio when a couple of times it got hit from behind by speeding cars while i was waiting at a traffic signal. Luckily nothing happened to it, thanks to the 'tank like' built.

@DDiSLover: Well this is a top end Beat, the roof rails are standard and I love the stock Chevy logo, doing any modification to it will look gaudy.

Re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

The bull bars are mounted on chassis member and a good strong hit results in far greater damage by way of skewed chassis rather than just a crumpled bumper.

I am a big fan of Subtle mods and I just love your vision karizma9292 on your Polo.

If I may suggest you few things:

- The black red Grill with GTI emblem, yellow tint on fog lamp and the body color Silver are just too many colors. Try getting into some sort of uniformity bro.
- I think the Silver and Black theme is just perfect, You must probably build more on that direction.

Nevertheless, your stead really looks stunning. Can you please post some more pics of your car ?
