Yes you can enable the remote lock buttons in the flip key. Mine also has a fully functional key with lock unlock buttons working.
I got it done from Harison Keys, Panchkula via courier.Took 3 working days.

Anywhere in Delhi/NCR where one can get this done in front of his eyes -- somehow I don't feel right by sending key via courier ....

Also this looks like an irreversible process - or is there an option to assemble back the original key later on ?

Just a small query.
Do you get a single Flip key or a pair for Rs.2000, Like cars come with 2 sets of keys, Even Nippon or Autocop gives 2 sets.

Yet to find a shop in Bangalore which does flip keys, any info guys.

I checked with Harrison Keys and they informed that they cannot do it as my Oval shape remote will not fit in.

Dear Amit,

Do check up Harison Keys. I got my SX4 keys converted to flip keys. The quality is good, my son has dropped the flip keys many a times on the floor, however it works fine & outer panel is intact (touch wood)

Did you get your SX4 keys converted to flippy keys? If yes, please throw some light on how they do it and the quality of the keys and the cost you had to bear. I found out somebody in Pitampura, Delhi who does this job and is asking for 2000 to 2500 for single key depending on the key design I choose.

Till now i haven't got the chance to convert my keys, but really glad to know somebody is doing in Pitampura. I am residing in Gurgaon don't mind travelling to Pitampura.

If possible, please let me know which shop is doing the conversion.

Hello Amit,

I just got my keys converted to flippy keys. My Car has immobilizer and he transferred the immobilizer chip from the original key to the Flippy key. The address for the shop is

Car World
18, Vaishali, Pitampura,
Near IDBI Bank (Metro Pillar 346),
Delhi-110034

It took about an hour for the conversion. Do take your car along with the central locking remote and he has a wide variety of designs that will fit your central locking system to choose from. They charge Rs. 2000 per key for the conversion. If he quotes more, you can quote my reference, tell him about silver Manza for which he made the keys.
