You can increase the f stop to get a lot of people in focus but this is where you will have issues of trails, so bump up the ISO, little noise would be present but can be reduced during PP. Here is a image taken with the 50 mm prime f 1.7 at F 5.5.

Another night shot from me. Completing 2 years in Chennai-

When we were asked to give location preference , i gave Banglore, Mumbai, NCR and finally- Chennai (Although it is probably the closest to home). 2 years in this city has changed a lot of perceptions. It is hotter than expected, but there is a charm to this place once the mercury level dips.

PS- Avoid autos, watch what you eat, and get out more once the sun sets.
