didnt really "test" that in my TD, but seats felt more comfortable than in my V2. I was more preoccupied with the lumbar support and height adjustment . The rear seats were also more comfortable thanks to the increased leg space.

Congrats Buddy

Any plans for upgrading the tyres with alloys? And what about the ICE, will you upgrade or satisfied with the stock one?

Alloys for sure...the showroom guy said he'll get me alloys from "outside" for a lower price ...
about ICE, i'll change the speakers. in fact i have asked for ideas in the Ask The Gurus forum of the ICE section here. I am ok with the HU.
Other possible add-ons depending on Vitamin M - art leather seat and steering covers, teflon/dupont/3M/whatever coating.
i am considering whether I should go for keyless entry or make do with the manual central locking.

Interesting thing mentioned in Car & Bike Show - NDTV Profit

The models named are as follows:

Terra = Earth
Aqua = Water
Aura = Air

Another thing that I don't think anyone noticed or mentioned in this thread is that the tail-lamp is split into two piece at the middle portion, instead of one full assembly. Helps, when you have to replace it if someone bangs your car from the backside

Keyless entry is always a better option IMO.

The review in NDTV Profit was really good if anyone has seen it.

Also this was highly thoughtful of TATA as earlier people have to change the complete assembly and by dividing in 2 they had reduced the cost burden considerably

oops .sorry . .

I'm totally confused
whether to go for swift vdi or
aura qjd.
The seating of swift is bit difficult as my
knees are fouling with steering eventhough i'm
not that tall,when seat is pushed back full ,it is quiet
ok. but the rear legroom will suffer.
But no such problems in vista .felt like sitting
in a really big car.

I wont say ABS doesn't makes a diff cos it does but its not that substantial. Let me ask you, How much of your lifetime you had driven an ABS car and how much a non ABS one? If you are careful then non ABS is also fine.

I dont understand why people have made TATA sound like a Bomb. Common its still better than Skoda! My cousin is selling his Laura cos he is fed up with the A.S.S of Skoda.
Seriously if you compare you get more features and VFM in Vista (Also no waiting period considering 15-18 days for Vista is nothing as compared to Swift Vdi which has waiting of 6 months now )

Terra is the base and Aura the top-end. a rough analogy is that they can be considered the equivalent of DLS, DLG and DLX of the V2.

yes...but you shouldnt try racing it on the higway (or anywhere) without ABS. if you drive carefully and defensively, there is no problem without ABS.
that said, I would prefer ABS anyday.
I heard Maruthi in Bangalore installs ABS in non-ABS Swifts for around 20K. is it true?
if TATA too does it in future after the launch of Vista with ABS, I will get it installed in my car too.
