this weekend was a camping and offroad trip.. nice people and good time to remember..enjoy the pics.

This was feast to eyes; rides with more than 2000HP

..trying to climb the moreeb hill in Liwa.
For those who dont know about Liwa, it is located south-west of Abu Dhabi on the edge of the biggest sand desert in the world, the Rub al Khali aka Empty Quarter. The Liwa Oasis is the gateway to the deep sands of the legendary Empty Quarter and is known as the playground for 4x4 dune bashing.
Moreeb Hill (Al Moreb Hill) is the place for organized drag races. With a reported 50 degree slipface, and a 300m long hill climb, it is a perfect place for sand drags. Moreeb Hill is the tallest dune in the UAE, and one of the largest hill climbs in the world.

sorry guys i dont have any videos.. but youtube has lots of them.
here is the one i saw live, this guy flipped thrice and had the fastest climb 9.xx seconds.

m here in dubai for 6m and missssss offroading , and driving tooo!!!!
i was all set to head to liwa, bt my frnd had a last minute change and we had to ditch the show...., bt did catch the al ain airshow, and also the dune bashers on the oder side of the desert.
wud appreciate if u wud care to catch up on similar events - 050 5270221,

Hey Vikram,

Ofcourse, the trip was a great experience and i have to admit that i felt safe inside your JEEP, on the dune crests, just as much, i would have on my bed.

I wasn't tired at all, but might have looked a little butchered cause of the phone, thinking and

at the prospect of building up my phonebook from scratch.

The photos and videos have come out pretty nice, but i have to shred edges to custom fit to conform to the forum's limits.In the meanwhile, if i get your email, i can send them to you sooner.

Looking forward to make more pictures !!!!

I was in Dubai recently and had got the opp to go for the desert safari in the Hummer H2 suggested to me by my friend who is settled over there.

Where the PRADOS and the LAND CRUISERS were doing 30 - 60mph this car and driver was able to clock 100mph on those dunes with us the occupants feeling like a drive down the park......

Something really worth going for please do it next time you are there

I feel he is talking KMPH and typed MPH in error.

No one and I repeat no one is foolish enought to take a 4 x 4 upto 100MPH which is around 185 KMPH on the soft sands
