Please check 8 Valves for 6 Cylinder!!!!! Any 6 Cyl will have 12 Valves.

SORRY , its 12 valves for the old engine and 18 valves for the new one. Was little busy while posting earlier hence the error.

Has anybody converted the MM650 to a 4 door hard top? is it possible to do so? similar to the Marshal?

I came across a Nissan 4 cylinder turbo engine known as the CD 20T.It develops
90 bhp @ 4400 rpm and 18.8 kgm of torque @ 2400 rpm which is a little less than
what the RD28 develops but at the same time it is lighter than the rd28. would the
lesser weight compensate for the less power it develops if mated to Isuzu 5 speed
4 wheel drive gear for a mm550 ngcs.

V16 that guy was quoting around 2.8L for the 2006 which ran only 20k kms. No work on the 550 . I ll get you the contact tomorrow

i have changed the diff ratio in my MM540 from 4.88 (44/9) to 4.27 (47/11). my jeep is running on a completely rebuilt XDP4.90 engine with the usual KMT90/TC combo.

so, after 200 kms of highway running and 50 kms of city driving : (No Offroading)
1. the jeep as usual starts moving in 2nd gear itself, on plain roads - (idle) without any throttle input. lesser engine rpm in each gear seems pretty much feel a smoother engine - illususionary effect. but less NVH is the biggest advantage. MM540 feels/drives now like a CAR.
2. steep inclines now need 1st gear - which was not so earlier. mild inclines can be done in 2nd but with some clutch - slight throttle pedalling. earlier my jeep used to drive up service station ramps in 2nd gear itself, with no additional throttle other than idle speed. 3rd gear is a potent overtaking tool especially in city traffic.
3. top speed is approx. 110kmph, pls note approx. as my speedo was showing only 90kmph at full throttle. speedo error in the range of -20kmph range.
4. i can stay longer in the gears, for eg. in city traffic, earlier i need to keep on juggling between 2nd and 3rd - now, i can stay in 2nd or 3rd, depending on traffic speed conditions. Backlash effects have been minimised, almost non existent now.
5. the 70kmph cruising speeds have become more smoother, with the lesser engine rpm. but if your speeds drop below 35kmph, you need to downshift to 3rd, and after some revs, back to 4th. below 40kmph in 4th gear - i feel like am lugging the engine.

^^ Are you sure? Cos I get 70 effortlessly with 4.88 and am able to use 3 and 4 in city from 15 kph onwards. I have pushed upto 105 :deadhorse

with 3 and 4, life is happy and traffic jams bring on 2.
