What is the offset on these wheels?
@Samurai, I have seen a different kind of wheels on Sanker's MM540. Jammy can shed more light on the price part of it. I was thinking that Shankar changed his PCD, but later on Jammy told that this is the new design comes for 139.7 Jeep PCD. They bought it from Bangy, you can call Jammy and aks about it. Unfortunately i do not have any pictures. But it suerly looks nice and very strong also.
Thanks

I am eyeing these rims, they go well with CJ340 Jeep.

Yes this is the same one i was talking about.
Thanks

It is Plati and is available in 15x7J and 139.7 PCD. However, I don't know the offset, it looks to be negative. Does anyone know the offset on this alloy? The price around 4.4K per rim.

Damn, the local supplier is quoting 4.9K as his best price. Anyone know the current prices in Bangalore for these?please:

Call Jammy, He has recently purchased a set of 5 for one Jeep. I am planning for a PCD change. Bolero 4X4 hubs are direct fit. you get lot of choices in 160 PCD both 16" and 15".
Thanks

Is this what I think it is, then its very useful
Purpose of a Beadlock
Air pressure within a tire forces its bead against the wheel rim and ensures that they rotate as a single unit. More traction is needed for tires on a dirt track racing or off-road vehicle. Drivers will often lower the air pressure to cause the tread to spread out and create a larger contact patch. This practice can create a safety hazard as there may not be enough pressure to secure the tire to the wheel. There are situations where there is a lot of pressure pushes the tire to one side or the other, especially on the outside rear tire of a dirt track racing vehicle when it is turning in a corner of an oval. This causes the bead of the tire to come off the wheel. It is also possible for the tire to have more traction on the ground than there is friction between the tire and wheel. In this case the wheel would spin within the tire without being able to turn the tire. Beadlocks are therefore designed to "lock" the bead of the tire onto the wheel.
Please do keep us informed. From your pics it looks that this can be attached with a two piece wheel like in GPW's or can it be attached in normal one piece rims too.
Nice findclap:

In some civilized places, it is illegal to use a beadlock.
Why do something illegal?
If it is only for "looks" -- i.e.
- if your ride really doesn't have battle-tank torque, or
- if your ride isn't a heavy lorry traversing sand on deflated tires, or
- if ripping up river-beds isn't really your idea of a "high",
then you can go for a fake lookalike,
what's called a
streetlock -- looks as bling as the real thing.

i want bead lock for off roading purpose only.
not for
bling bling.:Frustrati
all over the world offroaders are using bead locks.
in all the civilized places it is illegal to change
vehicle color- body type-engine-drive type (4x2 to 4x4)-external lights.
almost every thing that is not given by manufacturer as standard is illegal.
if i am right ,i dont think any 4x4 of any t-bhp member has a vehicle to use bead locked wheel out of necessity. (i.e. higher torque then wheels capacity )
here are some
bling bling alloys

Harjeev,
Beadlockers essentially sandwich the outer bead of the tyre between
the outside of the rim and a ring. The split rims of GPWs are like scooter rims, they are not beadlocks.

Jeepster,
Beadlocks are only required if you want to run pressures lower than 15Psi
on extremely low speed trail runs. They are extremely expensive to buy,
need regular maintenance and are next to impossible to centre and balance.
And they are not suitable for tarmac use, so you would need another set of tyres to get
to the off-roading site.
IMO, unless your 4X4 already has diff-locks and ultra low gearing to handle
the immense load from running big tyres
and ultra low tyre pressures, they are
not worth the price.
BTW, which 4X4 are you planning to use beadlocks on??
Cheers

Hi jeepster,
does this (the 1st one) alloy's PCD match with that of 540/440? Also how much they cost, if you have any idea.
